COVID-19 – Update

Information about the coronavirus (COVID-19) changes constantly and we are staying updated and proactive. We are writing this statement to let you know what steps we are taking in response to this ongoing situation.

The health and safety of our team and community is our first priority.

Here are the precautions we are taking in response:

  • All staff handling products must be healthy 
  • Use of gloves, face masks and other protective gear, in all departments.
  • All products are handled using equipment, such as tongs.
  • Sanitation supplies are well stocked and being used more frequently.
  • Frequent and proper handwashing.
  • Safe distancing among staff.

According to Canada Post, The World Health Organization (WHO) and Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) have assured us the risk when handling mail, including international mail, is low.

According to the PHAC, there is no known risk of coronaviruses entering Canada on parcels or packages. In general, because of poor survivability of coronaviruses on surfaces, there is a low risk of spread from products or packaging shipped over a period of days or weeks. Currently, there is no evidence of COVID-19 being transmitted by imported goods or packages.
